Short Bio

Dr. Xu has been working as an assistant professor of information technology at GGC since the fall of 2007. Prior to joining GGC, she was an instructor at Louisiana Technical College for two years. She found her passion for teaching while working as a teaching assistant at Louisiana Tech University. She has taught a variety of classes and her teaching interests include, but are not limited to, computer networks, programming languages, digital media, network security and artificial intelligence.

She graduated with a master’s degree in computer science in the summer of 2002. In the summer of 2006, she graduated with a Ph.D. in computational analysis and modeling with a concentration in network analysis and modeling. Both advanced degrees are from Louisiana Tech University.
